My Husband An Accessory?

A man laughed a full throaty laugh when someone referred to him as an accessory at a society wedding I attended on Saturday. I was pleased to note that he was so far from being offended as he smiled knowingly at his wife, “She always insists on choosing my outfits” he said, looking at his chest as though wanting to draw attention to the heavy gold Studs he adorned himself with.

It was another afternoon of glamour and entertainment, a society wedding indeed, the grooms people were wearing Peach blouses, peach head-ties and lemon raw silk wrappers while the Bride's family wore lemon blouses, lemon head-ties and peach wrappers. Wow! Everywhere was truly colorful and the decor added spice to the scheme. There was no woman with hair out of place and believe me I looked out for that fashion gaff . Geles mounted like the crown of Queen Nephretiti, shoes and handbags to match their blouses, an assortment of matching necklaces to compliment their well endowed necks.

Is it me or can it be said that there are no longer flat chested woman in Nigeria? Every blouse looked well prompt up and I could swear that some might have assisted their rare looks since even the behinds had much to offer. What is happening? Is it that a certain type of perfect people attended this wedding? Could it be that the two(2) families that came together have selected their friends from the best looking people in the state or is it that there are no longer ugly people in Nigeria?
Everyone looked happy to be there and the young couple were so good looking that you could only pray for them to bring forth good looking children.

Weddings must be a nerve wrecking time for the mothers of both bride and groom, it seems it is a time they must try their popularity as must be seen in the number of Aso ebi wearers on both sides of the divide, the Fathers just invite people generally from their Churches or Social clubs but the Mothers? The Aso ebis must attest to their popularity.

If I had to score the two Mothers at this society wedding judging from the number of Peach as against Lemon Geles, bracket would be score “No victor no vanquish” too close to call is my verdict. Mama's una try eh! There is God indeed. Carry go!!! And continue dressing your husbands well knowing that they are part of your attire for the day. Perfect picture couple! Isn't that how you want to be referred to? Then keep it up! Make that man your accessory for every occasion.
