I used to watch a neighbour toil every morning, afternoon, evening and night over her children, in-laws, wards, husband, and husbands friends etc. I often wondered whether she ever created time for herself because by evening looking down into her compound, I would still see her with a wrapper tied around her chest and I used to wonder if she had had a bath that day. If anyone told me that she had high BP, I would easily believe it and my regular greeting to her when Our paths crossed was "well done o! " of course that was fully lost on her. I write this because someone actually asked me what to do to have sustainable happiness recently ; when I looked uncomfortable she added “you don't know?"

It gave me food for thought as this lady actually expected me to know what to do to sustain joy and my Soul searching made me to draw a definite conclusion. That the woman I thought was over labouring her self might actually be very happy doing all that she did on a daily basis . When you discover what you enjoy doing savior it and make it last. If spending time by yourself gives you joy also please by all means begin the process of creating a few Hours for your self without feeling guilty about it. Get rid of everyone, just be by yourself. 

But that shouldn't make you a bad mother, wife or in-law. This is easier for men to do because they are usually out of the home setting, so finding a place to tuck themselves away should not be a problem.

Begin the process of purging your mind of all impurities and burdens and find your inner peace and joy so you can shine forth from the inside out.
