Miss Colmbia, Paulina Vega was crowned the 63rd Miss Universe after beating out 88 other contestants, including finalists from Jamaica, Netherlands, Ukraine and Miss USA, Nia Sanchez, who was first runner up during the pageant night in Miami, Florida on Sunday, January 25, 2014.

The 22-year-old model is from Barranquilla and currently a business administration student at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota.
The Colombian beauty nailed the swimsuit competition and rocked a silver crystal dress in the evening gown competition.
Other winners for the night includes Miss Nigeria won the Miss Congeniality prize, Miss Puerto Rico won the Miss Photogenic award and Miss Indonesia won the National Costume Award.
She inherits the throne from Gabriela Isler, the former Miss Universe from Venezuela.
